Champion Trainer Jassim Ghazali won five out of the eight races on the card, including the 1900m feature on dirt on Wednesday, 8 November. Ridden by Pierantonio Convertino, the Jassim bin Ali Al Attiyah-owned RASSAN (Amer x Sandytiki) registered his tenth career victory in a thriller. Marvin Suerland moved the Pierre Deymonaz-trained BARRELAMAN (Mared Al Sahra x Tm La Belle Proper) into the lead early on in the race and stayed in control coming off the final bend. Meqdam Al Zaidy weakened on the home straight, but Rassan picked up pace and went past Barrelaman before taking the inside line and forcing Suerland to move his ride outside. Rassan held on well at the post to finish a head Barrelaman while the Julian Smart-trained REDA (Burning Sand x Ba'scherit) passed Meqdam Al Zaidy for his third place under Alberto Sanna.

Jassim Ghazali and Injaaz Stud picked up a one-two in the penultimate race of the day with IZZTHATRIGHT (Moss Vale x Miss Adelaide) notching a comfortable victory under Pierantonio Convertino. The win was the 5yo gelding's sixth straight victory going back to May 2016 and first on dirt in Qatar. Ridden by JP Guillambert in the colours of Khalifa bin Sheail Al Kuwari, the 3yo gelding stayed on the rails with the Hamad Ahmed Al Jehani-trained LAWLESS LOUIS (Equiano x Peace And Love) for company in the lead. On the home straight, Marc Lerner's ride, Lawless Louis, weakened, even as the Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki-trained SYLVIA PANKHURST (Antonius Pius x Spinning World) began pursuit under Eduardo Pedroza. However, Midaawi held on well, winning by a neck.
