Qemah offered a prestigious success to the Al Shaqab Racing colours by winning the Duke of Cambridge Stakes (Group 2), Wednesday, for the second day of the royal meeting. The filly had already shined on this track last year in the Coronation Stakes (Group 1).
Al Shaqab Racing’s Qemah imposed herself in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes (Gr2) at Royal Ascot, on Wednesday. The filly, very relaxed, waited amongst the group of horses that cantered along the inside rail.
The Royal Cavalry of Oman’s Nafees won the Qatar Derby des Pur-Sang Arabes de 4ans (Gr1 PA), at Chantilly on Sunday, 18 June 2017. The colt showed great courage to defy Azhar’s toughness, who takes the second place. Bandar is third. Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi, QREC Head of Racing Section, presented the trophies to the winners.
AMER, by Wafi out of Bushra, died in the morning of 14 June 2017. He was 33 years old. His passing away, which was expected because of his advanced age, leaves a deep void at the Haras du Grand Couregon where he has lived since 2010 and surrounded by many of his off-spring.
Three weeks after his success in the Abu Dhabi Poule d’Essai des Poulains, Al Shaqab Racing's Brametot won the QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club (Group 1), at Chantilly, on Sunday, 4 June.
