Al Shaqab Racing’s AL RUFAA scores second time out

In the colours of Al Shaqab Racing, AL RUFAA broke his maiden in fine style on just his second start in a Novice Stakes at York. Ridden by Robert Havlin, the 2-year-old colt was a little keen in the soft ground. However, two furlongs from the finishing line, AL RUFAA began to accelerate and came under pressure from FOX DUTY FREE. He held a narrow lead through the final furlong to win by a neck. He is trained in Newmarket by John Gosden.

This colt is by exciting young sire KINGMAN, and was bred in France by Jean-Pierre Dubois. He was bought at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in 2018.
