The Al Shaqab Racing-owned and bred BOSIOH won the Prix Du Vieux Castera at Castera Verduza, France on Sunday 29 September 2019. The Simone Brogi-trained two-year-old bay colt of TORONADO had finished third in the Prix de la Ville du Teich on his early days and second in the Prix Sabina at Mont-de-Marsan. Facing 11 rivals at Castera Verduza on Sunday, BOSIOH registered his first win, shedding his maiden tag and confirming the good promise he had shown earlier. Once again, he benefited of the weight allowance of his jockey, Jordan Plateaux, who had ridden him in his previous outing as well and steered him this time to break his duck and win the 1700-metre run for two-year-old maidens by a neck. The A Mouknass EC Pandora G Decocq-owned and F. Rohaut-trained MATTINA FORZA was the runner-up under Samy Le Quilleuc. The Haras D’etreham-owned and D. Guillemin-trained NOUVELLE ESCALE was further two lengths behind in third under Alexandre Gavilan.
