The annual ESSCO awards for members of the French breeders’ association took place on the 1st February in Pau, France. The coveted prize for leading Purebred Arabian 3-year-old bred in the South-West of France went to BATTASH DE FAUST, who runs in the colours of Abdullah Al Attiyah. This colt, who is trained by Mrs Elizabeth Bernard, was an impressive dual winner in France in 2019 and he rounded off his season by finishing third in the Gr1 Qatar 3-year-old Derby for Purebred Arabian at Doha in December. He was bred by Gerald Larrieu in France.
This award was presented by ESSCO, the French South-West Breeders’ Association to their members at their annual gala in Pau.
