Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Attiyah’s SHAMAYEL wins Prix Dragonne

Mohamed bin Fahad Al-Attiyah’s SHAMAYEL made a winning debut when she won the Prix Dragonne at Castéra-Verduzan, France, on Sunday 29 September 2019. Starting from gate number 2, the Mrs Jean-François Bernard-trained bay filly performed well to win the 1700-metre run for three-year-old pure Arabian fillies by a neck. She benefited fully from the weight advantage of her jockey, Lily Le Pemp. The H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani-owned and Francois Rohaut-trained CARACOLE DU LOUP was the runner-up. The Libero Mazzone-owned and T. Lemer-trained MAJDA DU LOUP completed the frame under Matthias Lauron.

SHAMAYEL is a daughter of AF ALBAHAR (AMER), who at Haras de Thouars. She was bred by Mubarak Al Naemi.
