The jockey Faleh Bughanaim reported that Zolya Al Maury's bit was pulled sideway resulting in him having no control and being unable to assist his mount.

Stewards Report: Bint Al Akaber (Marvin Suerland) slow to begin. Approaching the 1200m mark Suhail Al Uraiq (Cedric Segeon) over raced and was difficult to settle. Cedric Segeon reported that Suhail Al Uraiq was pulling hard in the early stages and tired badly in the latter stages, resulting in, Cedric Segeon not pressuring his ride. Marvin Suerland rider of Bint Al Akaber and Cedric Segeon rider of Suhail Al Uraiq reported to the veterinary surgeon that they felt something amiss. The veterinary surgeon reported that there is no apparent abnormality on both horses. At approximately 300m mark Al Dallah (Alberto Sanna) started to hanging in.

Stewards Report: The Big Cat was scratched by the veterinary surgeon - Near Fore Tendonitis. Domninic Cork (Marco Monteriso) dislodged its jockey.Incredibile (Gerald Avranche) was slow to begin. Gerald Avranche reported that Incredibile was slow to begin and commenced to give ground, resulting in him gaving up. Word Of a Prophet (Darren Williams) over raced in the early stages. Shortly after the start Autumn Sunrise (Yousef Al Hajri) ducked inwards sharply, resulting in, Ediye (Evert Pheiffer) having to steady and clipping its heels, resulting in, Words Of A prophet (Darren Williams) tight for few strides. In this incident Pippin Street (Alberto Sanna) being inconvenienced momentarily. At a subsequent inquiry Yousef Al Hajri pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge in terms of Rule 58 (iv) and was suspended for one Qatar Racing Day (4th February 2016) and was informed of his right to appeal. Approaching the 400m mark Stevies Wonder (Harry Bentley) came close to Pippin Street (Alberto Sanna) and clipped heels and fell down. In this incident Blazers Rock (Ali Al Showeikh) and Incredibile (Gerald Avranche) were inconvenienced, resulting in, riders stopping riding. No blame could be attached to any particular riders.
