The European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations also known as (ECAHO) are an organization established in 1983 to create show practices which became evident in European International shows. 10 European breeding societies decided to set up rules to prevent “beating and cheating”. Since the first year of its existence, ECAHO has been concentrated on three major topics: The Rule Book (“Blue Book”), the Show pyramid and the Disciplinary matters.
ECAHO established a horse show rulebook –“Blue Book” . It contains several chapters from which the “Rules for Conduct of Shows and the show rules of ECAHO are accepted in countries in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
The QREC organizes six horse shows per year in association with ECAHO from a Breeders Cup to a B International show as well as contributes to the education and workshops for officials and training for those who wish to be a part of the Arab Horse organization.
ECAHO have a total of 34 member countries with Qatar being one of them and have set the regulations for shows and for sport. Also the founder of the Breeders fund program, which is a program to help Arabian horse’s breeders in ECAHO Member countries, with support and financial participation of ECAHO. In addition, ECAHO contribute to the education and training of officials and are an important and essential guideline for all show organizations, organizers and officials.
